It's a NURBS coke can with a projected texture on it. With a little shading network the particles that are emitted from the can take the color information of the projected and baked texture. Playing around with some force fields give the scene some cool looking effects.

Everything done in Maya and rendered with Maya software renderer.

Thanks to Stephen McLure who was my teacher for the dynamics class at Gnomon.
